Jordan Lake is located in Elmore County, Alabama. Jordan Lake, or “Lake Jordan,” is located near Wetumpka, Alabama. Jordan Lake is the southernmost reservoir in a chain of six on the Coosa River, beginning with Weiss Lake on the Georgia border. The lake covers approximately 6,800 acres with about 180 miles of shoreline. Jordan Lake is located in the mid-east region of Alabama with stunning open views. The closest large city is Montgomery, Alabama, which is under 30 miles away from the lake.

Life on the Water

This lake area is surrounded by nature's wonderful beauties. As one of the 11 lakes on the Alabama Bass Trail, Jordan Lake is extremely fertile and stocked with sport fish, including largemouth bass, spotted bass, and bluegill. Other popular non-game fish caught here include sunfish, crappie, walleye, channel catfish, blue catfish, flathead catfish, striped bass, and white bass. There are also forage species such as threadfin shad and gizzard shad. Owned and operated by Alabama Power, Jordan Lake is an excellent recreational lake. The lake has two public boating access sites, Bonner's Point and Rotary Landing, as well as several private marinas. Get ready to grab your fishing gear and head out to the water, or get a good exercise in for the day.

You can explore Gold Star Park, Corn Creek Waterfall, or Swayback Bridge Trail for outdoor entertainment. Everybody can enjoy the activities in this lake area! There are many local restaurants within a 25-minute radius of the lake. A few of the high-end restaurants around the area include Central Restaurant, Charles Anthony's Restaurant At The Pub, Ban Thai, and many more. Enjoy the outdoors for a day with friends and visit the closest golf course, Pines Golf Course, located 21 minutes from the lake. Or have a date night at AMC CLASSIC Prattville 12, located 30 minutes from the lake, where you can watch newly released movies. Shopping centers near the lake include Prattville Town Center (28 minutes), and High Point Town Center (27 minutes), along with many other name-brand and local shops within 30 minutes of the lake. Several grocery stores are within 25 minutes of the lake, but Piggly Wiggly is the most convenient location (4 minutes).
